The C SEED N1 TV is a massive folding TV
C SEED is a big name in the large luxury TV market. It specializes in huge and rather expensive TVs that are definitely NOT for your average Joe. During CES 2024, the company unveiled the C SEED N1 folding TV. This is a TV that takes luxury to a whole new level. Its headlining feature is its foldable capabilities.
When unfolded, this TV is a massive 137 inches (165 inches for the largest one). When it’s time to tuck it away, the TV actually splits into five separate panels. Those sections then fold in on each other. This TV doesn’t use flexible display technology. Rather, each panel is an individual display.
Once it’s fully folded, the TV should take up about as much space as its base. This is a feature that will both save you space and wow your friends.
It takes about a minute for the TV to rise to its height of three meters and an additional 25 seconds for it to completely unfold. When unfolded, the TV will use C SEED’s Adaptive Gap calibration (AGC) to make the gaps between the panels completely disappear. This will make a completely seamless experience.
The C SEED N1 is meant to be used both indoors and outdoors. A device like this seems like it’s just begging to be damaged by the elements. However, this TV actually has IP65 water and dust resistance. This means that, in the event of a light rain, your TV will be perfectly fine. Also, it’s able to rotate 180° so that you can watch it from most angles. This is a large device, so if you need to sit in a different location, you’ll be able to rotate it to your liking.
The visual and audible experience
The N1 is not only fancy-looking, but it comes with some great tech powering the screen. Since this is an outdoor TV, it’s bright enough to be seen even in direct sunlight. It caps out at an impressive 4,000 nits of brightness. To put that into perspective, 2,000 nits is enough to clearly see your phone’s display in daylight.
The display uses micro LED technology, and it also has HDR10+ support. Also, it has an absolutely insane refresh rate of 3,840Hz. So whatever you watch will look beautiful and stunning. It also has a physical screen surface coating that helps bring it closer to what you’ll see with an OLED display. It will produce extremely true blacks and amazingly vibrant colors. Lastly, this coating also reduces glare.
On to the audio, this TV comes with two built-in 100W broadband coaxial speakers. There’s also an integrated subwoofer in the column along with twin coaxial speakers in each wing. This means that you will get an absolutely amazing and punchy listening experience. If you’re going to be using this TV outside, you will need to have proper audio. You don’t want the sounds of the outdoors interfering with your video-watching experience.
Price and availability
You can order your TV now, but it will start shipping at some point between now and April. As for the price… again, this TV is not for the average Joe. You’re looking at a starting price of $233,000 USD. If you can afford to throw down that kind of cash, then this TV should be perfect for you.
