JBL announces new microphones at CES 2024

Starting off the list we have the Quantum Stream Talk. This is the least expensive model coming in at $49.99, but it still has some nice features. It’s a well-built condenser microphone that’s perfect for personal use. It has a sturdy base to keep it balanced and a volume knob on that base. Aside from that, this microphone has a mute button which comes in handy.

The JBL Quantum Stream Talk has a 96kHz sample rate with a 24-bit depth, which will give you some really good recording quality. All in all, this microphone is best for individual people. So, if you’re recording a single person in a podcast or you’re a streamer, this will be perfect for you.

JBL Quantum Stream Wireless

Next up, we have the JBL Quantum Stream Wireless. As the name implies, this is a wireless microphone. Coming in at $99.99, the Quantum Stream Wireless is a versatile wearable microphone that you can use when you are on the move. This is also a condenser microphone. Since it is a portable microphone, meaning that you’re more than definitely going to be using it outside, it comes with environmental noise cancellation.

When it comes to the audio quality, it’s a step back from the Stream Talk, but it’s still decent. It has a 48kHz sample rate with a 16-bit depth. Portable microphones aren’t quite known for their stellar audio quality, but it’s more than capable of getting the job done. This microphone also comes with a handy charging case that almost acts like an earbuds charging case.

Lastly, here’s the most premium of the microphones that JBL announced at CES 2024. We have the JBL Quantum Stream Studio coming in at $149.99. This microphone actually has three high-quality condenser microphones, and they have a 192kHz sample rate with a 24-bit depth. The JBL Quantum Stream Studio is designed to pick up multiple people. So, if you’re podcasting with people sitting around the table, it will pick up everyone’s voice perfectly.

This microphone has it all including a mute button, a game/volume knob, mic monitoring, and a built-in audio meter that shows you how loud the audio is. So, you can see if you’re peaking right on the device itself.

All three of these devices are compatible with the JBL Quantum engine app. This is an app interface that gives you access to all sorts of controls to help you customize your mic experience. JBL announced some great microphones at CES 2024, and you can buy them starting in March.
